Do pigeons produce eggs in the winter time?

It is currently not snowing in Toronto Canada, however the last time a group of pigeons lived in the box outside my balcony and they left the twigs inside. During the morning today, i saw a new pair of pigeons going into that box and were making lots of cooing noises. And they appear to be going in and out of the box of twigs and are chasing other pigeons away when another pigeon tried to go in the box. By the way, it is not snowing, however it is quite cold. So is there a chance they could mate and produce eggs perhaps? Or am i just getting my hopes up? Thnx, and i appreciate any1 that can answer this becuz if they are not mating and wont produce eggs at this season time, i guess ill just scare them away since there noises wake me up in the morning. Im just kidding, i wont. :)
