IF A basketball team with 12 members has a game when 8 get 5 fouls what happens? Forfeit? Technical added ?

I have played in 5 overtimes in Division II college, down to 8 of 12 eligible, and wondered had we not won, what would have happened when only 4 remained eligible? We won, 169-160.
