Is there such thing as love?

i mean is it true that there is a soul mate and could you go through your whole life without finding that person? or is it just too dreamy to think like that and should i just give up and marry someone im not 'in love' with? i felt how people say what love feels like for one person but it ended up to heart break and im wondering if everyone finds someone who loves them back
