My written commentary on pride and prejudice-intro-please read it is urgent... 10th grade english?
Jane Austen possesses a skill in her writing that is indefinitely demonstrated through the compelling and inspiring clic Pride and Prejudice, a tale of forbidden love and a demonstration of the ever-structured society of Nineteenth-Century England. Chapter forty-five of the text is a chapter where Austen demonstrates her talented and varied writing style that is nonetheless full of important literary devices. These devices enrich the story while giving it flavour and personality. These devices can be used to give the story a humourous background through the use of satire, a vivid and descriptive nature through the extravagant use of imagery, and also a structured sense of writing and use of words through the use of diction. All of these elements are demonstrated in chapter fourty-five, some used more than others, but overall the structure of the chapter creates meaning that allows the reader to become actively engaged in the text.
